Rectification

Themes: Mutation, Horror, Flesh. This magic smells of harsh antiseptic

Painstakingly translated from the cyphers of the Druids this tome is equally filled with elaborate drawings of creatures in nature that the function of their bodies.

Special Rule: Mutations.
A Mutation Spell lasts until removed, a character can have 2+STR mutations before they begin to experience side effects. A character cannot advance a healing clock while they have mutations.

Cantrip: Mold Flesh
You may sculpt and shape your flesh, or that of a willing ally, like clay. You may not add or remove flesh but may redistribute it broadly with enough work. Large changes count as a mutation but if they are maintained for long enough and the target accepts them they may become a part of the natural form.

  1. Semi-Random Mutation

Slow, Mutation
Up to [dice] willing character you are touching gains a mutation from the list at the end of this spell tome, you roll [dice] d6 (or take the numbers on the dice) and may chose from among the mutations rolled.

  1. Gelatinous Form

Fast, Concentration
You or an ally within 10 ft, and their equipment, takes on a gelatinous form. You may flow through any barrier that is not watertight. While in this form you cannot cast spells or attack but do not take damage from bludgeoning or piercing damage.

  1. Adaptive Mutation

Fast, Mutation
Up to [sum] allies within 30ft. are altered to withstand a particular environment, for example growing gills to survive the deep ocean, fur to survive a cold tundra or thick scales to survive the heat of a volcano. These only effect environmental hazards, direct attacks or dangers are not negated by this.

  1. Grafting

Ritual (10 minutes)
By spending 10 minutes harvesting the corpse of a freshly killed magical creature you may extract the source of a magical power the creature had in the form of a Graft. This graft can be consumed to grant the ability as a Mutation. A Grand Ritual of this spell may be able to be used to create a more permanent version of this effect

  1. Cleanse Mutation

Slow
Up to [dice] mutations are removed from characters within 10ft, if cast as a Ritual (10) instead up to [sum] mutation can be removed.

  1. Restoration

Slow, Concentration
An ally, not including the caster, whom the caster touches has their entire system reset and restored, [dice] mutations and wounds are removed and they are restored to full stamina. However this only lasts for the duration of the spell and when the spell ends everything will return to how it was beforehand. The caster may chose to permanently remove mutations or wounds at the cost of gaining the wound "Rebelling Flesh" for each one removed.

  1. Polymorph

Slow, Concentration
A Creature within 30ft is changed into an animal of no more than [sum] HD. An unwilling creature can save MENT to instead be changed for [dice] rounds. A changed creature only gains benefits from any special abilities if they can sensibly be used by their new form, and they gain the abilities of their new form. All damage and wounds are translated between the forms at the beginning and end of the spell.

Mutations

  1. Winged Form, You may fly as easily as you move normally, however you cannot carry anything beyond your readied items while flying and fall if you take any damage.
  2. Scaled Skin, You gain [sum] natural armor, you count as unarmored while using this.
  3. Incredible Senses, You can see in anything short of pure darkness, hear sounds for miles and track scent trails. You gain a [dice] bonus to any checks related to these senses.
  4. Camouflaged Pelt, You gain a [dice] bonus to hide or sneak and can change the shade and pattern of your skin at will.
  5. Additional Limb, You sprout an additional limb such as a prehensile tail or arm. This limb is too uncoordinated to cast spells or attack but can do simpler actions or hold a sheild.
  6. Redistribute Power, You may increase an attribute by +1 in exchange for reducing another by -1. You may take attributes to -2 or +3 in this manner if cast with at least 3 [dice]
