Skill Checks
The GM will call a skill check when you attempt to do something where the outcome is unsure. To make a skill check decide on what attribute and skill is relevant.
Skill Check:
Luck (1) + [Attribute] + [Skill] + [Bonus Dice] d6 dice.Results: Read the highest dice
Multiple 6s is a Critical Result, You go above and beyond your goal.
- 6 is a Great Result, You achieve your goal.
- 5-4 is a Mixed Result, You achieve your goal with consequences.
- 3 or less is a Limited Result, You fail your goal but gain some success (also gain +1 XP).
You can also improve your chances by:
- Pushing Yourself, expend 2 stamina and +1 bonus dice
- Getting Help, adding a maximum of +2 bonus dice from items, magic, allies or other effects.
Saves
A saving throw is called when you react to a source of danger. You have 3 saving throw scores:
- Physical Save (PHYS): 10-DEX-STR-[½Level]
- Mental Save (MENT): 10-INT-CHA-[½Level]
- Perception Save (PERC): 10-PER-[½Level]
Saving Throw:
2d6 vs Save Value \Result: Compare the result to your save score
- Double Save: Critical Success, you completely avoid the effect, a natural 12 (two sixes) is also a Critical Success.
- Over Save: Success, you avoid the majority of the effect.
- Below Save: Failure, you are completely effected.
Contested Rolls
Contested rolls occur when two groups are directly working against each other.
Contested Roll:
2d6+[Attribute] vs Opponent’s RollResult: The highest roll wins and has their effect continue.
Attributes
Begin at 0, can range from -1 to +2. They are:
- Strength (STR): Melee & Inventory
- Dexterity (DEX): Ranged & Initiative
- Intelligence (INT): Skills & Spellcasting
- Charisma (CHA): Social & Favours
- Perception(PER): Spot Hidden
Skills
Skills are descriptions of talents you have. There is no finite skill list, you add the bonus when it is relevant.
The more detailed a skill the more flexible, but simple 2 word skills work fine. \
Skills range from 1-3, with the number being the number of dice you add to a roll. You may have a total of 7+INT skill points total across all skills.
XP Goal
At the end of each adventure you gain XP, according to the goals you achieved. You gain 3 xp for completing a goal, 5 if you complete it more than once.
